Been icing it nightly. About to get a knee brace.

 

Could be meniscus as well but that usually clicks a little or gets stuck and you know it.

 

You are simply getting old. I had a shoulder a few weeks ago just all of a sudden stop working properly, then a week later, pain was gone and as good as ever.

 

If it was just pain I'd go with it. The swelling, fever, and burning for 5 days is what is concerning me.

 

Oh, missed that part. Sounds like some kind of infection.

 

I'm definitely in the older camp. Latest is TMJ in my left jaw which developed a couple weeks ago. First for me and very likely stress related.

 

Yeah i didnt see the fever part. Thought the knee only was burning

 

Sounds all gouty and whatnot.

 

If gout, don't wait the two days. Cut it off now.

I had a GP tell me I had gastritis. A few days later I felt like I was being hot poked from my insides and red shingles came up soon thereafter.
He had put me on a statin med. Something in that med awoke my dormant chicken pox virus from when i had pox as a kid. All the [uck fay] over me. Dormant pox was livid.
Painful as hell from sternum to spine. Like a red velvet milky way

 

I dunno. They did blood work. If it's bad they will let me know.

I've ended up standing all afternoon and it feels better now. Go figure.

 

Unless your wife is paying them to not tell you.

 

Now that you say it, this did start hurting about the time I found out I had a company life insurance policy on me................

That usually means it's nothing bad

 

Sounds like an injury to me and less of an infection. If the high temperature is contained in that area, that is, and he didn't mean he has a fever.

 

Oh and definitely DO NOT WebMD your symptoms.
