Went to Metallica tonight. Loud

 

If you get the opportunity, let them know I downloaded their mp3s and never got punished for it.

 

I got the NYY #8 yesterday, known as "The Fistula".

 

They slid into obscurity for me when this got kicked up. They became the man.

 

back when the whole Napster thing was going down, I remember being one of the few people on Metallica's side at my office.

 

I never had Napster. I never agreed with that kind of theft. Metallica nevertheless became the man. No amount of MTV shows with them awkwardly playing basketball with some guy who never left his mom's basement could convince me otherwise.

 

Update - friend's butthole has been cleaned out.

This is a mix of me being genuinely concerned for a friend while simultaneously laughing my butt off at him.

Metallica sucked. Yeah im old but been to a lot of concerts, including them 4 times, and i couldnt understand a word. And sounded like 20 instruments playing at same time. Most enjoyable part was watching the faces of the young black concert security guards. Female looked scared to death.

Got a funny look just a few minutes ago. I'm with the wife shopping for dresses at Dillards. Now I know it's less than manly, but I really don't mind clothes shopping with her. I actively participate and comment on colors, patterns, cut, and price (mainly price) when I go with her which is only a few times a year. Well, I strayed a little far away looking at some clearance racks and this older lady was giving me dirty looks. I don't know if she thought me a perve, a crossdresser (I'd be pretty weird unless going for the bearded lady look), or something else. I found my way back to the wife. I think I'm more comfortable appearing as the gay friend than the other alternatives.

 

That's why I stick to thrift shops and Amazon. Well that and the price difference. But the judging looks from old women in department stores definitely factors into it...

 

Eh. Give them something to tsk about. They get bored otherwise.

Not sure I've ever had a good cup of regular ass coffee there.
