That's a lot of beach time. When the kids were little, we went early, left for lunch and maybe hit the pool at sunset. Of course I'm married to one of the whitest women in America, and her kids follow suit. Getting her to a beach is an accomplishment in itself.

 

Love the beach. Ocean is calming.

 

We’d get there about 8 and leave at 1:30 or 2. After 3 days I’m done with it

 

I'm good by lunch, day 1. Other than night walks.

 

I'm good for a week. Prefer sitting on the patio of a condo overlooking it just as much as on the beach itself.

 

I could spend all day, every day on the beach. I'm content with a chair, cooler, and speaker just taking it easy and listening to music or acting like a kid and going non-stop with my oldest son all day playing in the water, throwing Frisbee/football, bocce ball, etc.

Make a few trips to the beach bar throughout the day and life is good.

 

Same. Coolers, music, shade, football, cornhole, people watch, quick nap, skipball, get pummeled by some waves, nibble a gummy. Don’t forget to spray the feet with sunscreen. Eat a Turkey, cheese and sand wrap.
Not a big sandcastle building family.

 

Next time you guys plan on booking a trip, let me book it for you. Been to every single beach in between Dauphin island to St. George island. Stayed off beach, houses, condos, etc. I strongly suggest Cape san blas in sept or October and stay on the bay with a dock to fish off of as the sun rises over the bay.

 

I really hate sunscreen

 

It’s such a [uck fay]ing hassle. I figure I’d hate melanoma more though.

 

Yeah I mean there’s no choice. It just makes me feel gross

 

The sports lotions are not bad, as they don't leave me feeling gooey.

 

I mostly use that spray stuff. I think of it as Armor All for my skin, and it helps. You do have to apply more/more frequently if you want it to work, but I hate lotions.

Use a mineral sunscreen though a lot of the other ones have harmful chemicals in them

 

Big fan of the spray on sun bum. It also works better if you rub it in after spraying.

 

Lol, yes it does. When our kids were younger, about the time they should have been able to apply their own sunscreen, we let them spray each other, but my daughter would not let my son touch her. In the haste of getting out to the beach, we all forgot, and she never got the liquid rubbed across her middle back. You could see exactly where the spray reached, and she wound up with this fading pattern of white skin going down to the top of her swimsuit.
