Percent chance we get Gruden?

People have these myths if they hire great coordinators everything will be fine. In this case no.

It’s very easy to recruit to usc though. Like so easy guys like Hackett had top 5 recruiting classes.

 

You also run into the problem that if the coordinator is so good you lose him eventually and then have to regroup.

 

Tee recruited kids to Kentucky when he was there. He can sale, especially in the South

 

This I have no doubt about. He's young, he's black (yeah, I said it) and he has a national title as a starting QB. He would be able to recruit his ass off, assuming his staff could keep. That said, should we settle on a guy because of his ties to the football program when there are numerous options available that would make more sense?

Nothing against Tee, he seems like a stand up guy and a promising young coach but that doesn't mean he is ready or qualified for the job.

 

The only reason to hire Tee is:

a) the fans would love it
b) he may say yes

Now don’t get me wrong. I think almost everyone in the country would say we should hop on that given the circumstances. But as I said, I’m not quite ready to punt.

 

Tee could recruit (at first) and get max effort. But no, I don’t see it ending well.

 

Offer Gruden 10 years 100 mil, full control and see what happens.

 

Will pay for itself within two years. Maybe one.

 

Always hear that, but there are plenty of shitty recruiters that happen to be black. I don’t think it goes all that far, honestly.

Yep. It wouldn't be much in the grand scheme, but I'd do my share and more than I normally do on a year to year basis if he's hired.

The man needs to be involved with the program in some way, shape, or form. After hearing his interview with Swain today, I think he’d be a fantastic VFL coordinator.

If Haslam is neutered and Fulmer was helping work on Gruden before, I see no reason as to why we couldn’t get this thing done now.
