That really surprises me.

 

I think a lot of people in states that were not certifiably red to the core expected Hillary to win whether they voted or not. Oops.

 

I'm not sure it is surprising, really. The two most unlikable candidates of all time? Difficult to motivate folks with that offering.

 

I can speak only for myself.

I could have easily not voted.

In 36 years, I have never not voted.

 

I think I read more than 45% of Americans didn't vote. Pretty ****ing inxcusable the things we take for granted.

 

Not really changing any rules.
Failing to vote as their state dictates results in only a civil fine, which, I suspect would quickly be paid.

How is that different than any other simple civil disobedience?

However . . .
Would they not be subject to a civil suit for damages?
Who would have standing to sue?
What are the damages?
What about a suit in contract asking for specific performance?

Counselors?

What better way to burn down the establishment?
