I assume so. So basketball and baseball/softball even out, football will carry 85 spots in whatever sports, and from there it's probably club sports.

 

I would think it would just be total money pool, not on a per sport basis, and allocate it however. But the men’s and women’s total would have to be the same.

Yes, I like this, too. And, really, it's the easiest, most sensible solution. The maze of rules for outside money could be scrapped, eliminating the determinations of who is a booster and such because it won't matter. Then give the kids a percentage of the tv pot or something. Finally, make your only restrictions on the schools themselves, like limiting it to ticket revenue, sales of jerseys, etc.

 

Doing that could also have a positive impact on professional minimum salaries. It could be a real choice between being a professional minor leaguer/bench warmer or a collegiate athlete getting an education and nice endorsements with a good platform.
