Some folks in the neighborhood do, but we never have. Hopefully we avoid major damage.

Be safe fellas. I got 2 bedrooms and a bath downstairs if things don’t go well. Just don’t pay much attention to the bleach smell and also my crazy dog sleepwalks.

My dad has a house in Cape Coral...he just went to his house to "wait it out".

how close to the water is he? There's really no need for him to do that. If it is bad enough for looting then his stuff is going to be flooded out anyway.

 

He's partially retired and bored

 

That area of Florida looks increasingly likely to take the eastern eyewall. Winds will be bad but surge could be very bad.

 

He won't listen

 

He should have some gallons of water and keep a hatchet handy.

 

He's got a generator, fuel, lots of water, two chainsaws and Coors Light

 

This seems like a very Groves thing to do.

 

I pity any Evil Dead that show up.

 

And being a Groves, I imagine he has more than one boomstick.

 

Anybody else feeling a road trip?

 

Is Ian going to go up to 5? Was within 1 mph of it this morning and it appears to be cycling up. If it doesn't move east it might get uglier.
