Nope, going to Sanibel Island and cape coral now. Will make landfall in the next couple of hours

So far, so good. Rain has been consistent since yesterday afternoon. Wind is strong and has been increasing as day goes on. Very loud outside.

They are having trouble getting hurricane recon flights into it. The last one was beaten with hail and took a 1000 ft plunge. Another is due there in about 30 mins. He looks tighter and I suspect they’ll get the data they need to upgrade if they get clean readings.

It's crazy how far thing of the coast the rains from this are stretching. Absolutely amazing.

The sound the sustained winds make is freaky. Almost like a constant roar.

I want to know if the shark avoids getting stranded onshore somewhere

Worst for us is supposed to be 6-8PMish. This has already been worse than Irma, but at least it has been earlier in the day. It's really difficult to describe the wind. It's eerie as [uck fay].

I wonder if we are going to have an insurance company left in this state after this hurricane. About 6 have pulled out in the last 2 years.

Does your solar system store power?

It does. We have the battery full. It holds 13.5kWh. So far power has held.

Just a little wind gust right now. As of right now we are hoping with the path that the wind will blow the water out of the Homosassa River so we don't have a surge.
