"John Brice said on the Vol Network postgame that Jon Gruden, who lives in Tampa, was "twisting arms" of Outback Bowl officials to get the Vols an invite." -toos Soon
Reading that caused me pain. Real pain. My only hope is that the whole Crowder thing had a back room deal done and Lyle finds greener pastures and Jon ****ing Gruden rides in and saves the day. Then I wake up and realize Lyle will probably be here for 4 more years.
For the first time in years the top of the SEC is no better than the top of the Big 10. Calling it "pathetic" is a stretch at best. Had they not botched the ending of the MSU game hes sitting at 10 wins with the conference being better than it has been in a while.
You can log on to the Outback Bowl website and vote for the SEC and Big 10 team matchup you prefer for this years game...TN currently at 61% of the SEC vote.
After last week, Mark Schlabach had us in the Outback against Northwestern. That seems pretty likely to me. That would also be a coaching mismatch, but probably not enough of one to overcome our talent advantage.
The big 10 falls off pretty heavily after the top 4. And if Iowa plays the 3 other good teams, they probably aren't even ranked. Sweet, he's better than Butch. That definitely refutes my point.
His resume Taking a 5th year hack from Iowa and turning him into a serviceable qb Winning 9 with a team that wasn't bowl eligible last year and had losses to Rutgers and Maryland in 2014. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. He's a proven winner that has built the University of San Diego, Stanford and the 49ers into winners. He lost to MSU on a fluke play. He got beat by a more talented team today. He's going to be at Michigan a long time and win a lot of games
