I’d say the video is going to ruffle some feathers but I’m pretty sure all the people who would get mad at it hate him after he essentially told them to [uck fay] off 2-3 times already

How did he come up with the idea for a song about gay coal miners?

 

In the interview I posted he talks about how he had a gay cousin he looked up to and he kind of juxtaposed that with a part of Appalachian culture

 

He probably knows a gay coal miner. His songwriting style is pretty straightforward.

And the song is just a sad country song, the video is about gay coal mining
