Normally, this is when I go on my rant about gymnastics not being a sport, but that was actually quite enjoyable.
I watched Phelps' Gold Medal Ceremony right before the 2x400 relay (?), and they showed this guy's dad...did his son talk shit about Phelps? Speaking of Phelps, he's 31 now....any chance he could make the 2020 games at age 35, and even if so, would he essentially be a mortal by then?

NBC really does put together an Olympics broadcast like a shitty melodramatic b-movie. I watched it the other night with someone from Europe and was almost embarrassed at the schmaltz.
Agreed. One thing they got right is the central channel that lets me see all 4 channels so I can try to avoid the goopy. Alas, they work hard to coordinate commercials so we're forced to watch the multitude of them.
Is it normal for these things to be outside? I just assumed it was in some type of indoor aquatic center.
