Money given for damages in exchange for not calling the police is a negotiation; not a robbery.

People are having a hard time with their definitions latly. They don't understand the definition of the words ransom, robbery, larsony

 

Does anyone know the nature and extent of the damages? Was it purposeful?

 

Actually, the robbery folks I've heard and read think it was ransom. The argument for robbery and ransom is indistinguishable. You can flip the events and terms exactly.
