We have no business hiring anyone with zero head coaching experience.

The list above the misdemeanor line is the only list. You keep going until you get one of them to say yes.

If they don't, shut the whole operation down. This hire is paramount to deciding if this program is going to get back to what we know it should be. One more hire that is questionable puts us deeper in a hole we can never climb out of.

I'm out on Mullen. He's just the flavor of the week. He's average at best.

What happens if/when those guys say no, though?

We may be competing with Notre Dame, Auburn, Florida, and/or several others for a coach. How do we come out on top for one of those huge names?

 

He had Miss State ranked #1 a few years ago. That doesn't happen by accident...guy is a winner.

Really think one of the Patriots coordinators would consider a college job?

Would hate to see McDaniels leave NE but he will eventually anyway unless he's staying to take over for Belichick.

He's a great offensive mind and I have to think his next head gig will go better.

 

It seems like the people in the know here have moved on from Gruden. Just my perception, but that feels even less realistic now.

Chip Kelly would he great, as long as he's willing to hit the recruiting trail and be smarter if he tries to cheat.

I think Stoops may be done (at least for a few years).

I would have to think Patterson would have left by now if it was going to happen.

 

I'm tired of watching the Pats guys flop once they leave the nest.
