Because he knows he's a fraud.

So does he have a massive ego or inferiority complex? Can't be both, but I've heard both.

He sells his system to recruits and they're starting to realize it's bullshit

His inferiority complex leads to overcompensating and acting with a giant ego. He needs constant praise and nothing (I mean nothing) is his fault. He is incapable of self evaluation.

I have never met the man, but just seeing him on the sidelines and how he handles press conferences, it is just what I see.

Then it's a tie at best.

I'd rather have Gerry DiNardo than Butch.

I tried to make a friendly wager with our athletic trainer, an Ohio grad, before our game last night. She said, "Yeah, right." I said, "No. No. I was going to take Ohio & the points." Even she refused to take me up on it.

I haven't put any money on anything since Arkansas vs Ole Miss last year. I strongly considered coming out of retirement to take Ohio here. Easiest call of the year so far. I had it 31-20

I agree. I'd much rather endure a few dumpster fires in the quest to be great. I can live with that. Most successful entrepreneurs have a bankruptcy or two to speak of. And they don't matter when one finally works.

Mediocrity is the one thing that I cannot and will not accept.

Where is Peyton in all of this? When is Blackburn coming in? This trash has to stop.

Nope. Anyone but him. I'd take Dooley back before Petrino

This. I didn't think we'd even score 27 points and I was almost right

After Butch, we'll end up hiring Petrino with a ten year contract making him the highest paid coach in the nation. There will be no clause demanding that he behave in a manner that represents the University well. 3 months in and he gets caught trying to solicit sex from a sorority girl. We fire him and end up owing him $40 million. Desperate and broke, we hire [ddiapos] 2.0, who probably ends up being Bear Bryant's mentally challenged grandson.

We have a coach that charts what the media says while keeping a back pocket shit list......and openly discusses that he does....... IN PUBLIC!!!!!!

That says everything about Tennessee's future. We're ****ed.
