I’m saying the lyrics vastly oversimplify the problem.

Statistically, fat people on SNAP almost certainly are in a family with an employed individual, so he’s singing about people not getting paid enough, then in the next verse [itch bay]ing at the same people that don’t get paid enough.

It’s kinda all over the place. But this is not the thread for that conversation.

 

Disagree with it being all over the place and Oversimplifying the problem. it’s real and connects to how people feel, that’s why it’s blown up like it has.

Definitely have no problem with anyone going after the money that controls this country.

I’ll bring it up in the politics forum when I have time. I’ve got a whole load to say about this stuff

 

It didn't particularly resonate with me, as I thought it was just generic complaining, but that is what songs are about. Crosby, Stills and Nash made a lot of money doing the same thing.

Rich men North of Richmond is great word play, though, and it is what old School country was about.

Just didn't hit me. My brother loves it though.

Hell yes it does. That entire album is absolute gold.

 

I think it hits just because of the passion and the political moment we’re in. The lyrics are ass though.

the absolute worst concert I’ve ever been too though performance wise but they had really relaxed security so I just walked back stage and hammered PBR tall boys with them on a break.

This was before they kicked Jason out and he was so [uck fay]ing hammered you couldn’t understand a word he was signing.

 

I absolutely love their music but live it doesn’t really do anything for me. Mike Cooley playing solo acoustic though is something I’d really like to see.
