Herb Adderly and Hornung in the last few months, Willie Davis earlier this year. Those 60s Packers are quickly leaving us.

 

Had a great uncle who got a stern "**** you" from Hornung at a hotel lounge prior to SBXII. He asked Hornung, "Hey Paul, where can a man buy a drink for your drunk buddy Jim Taylor?"

Small Town Saturday Night is an all time great song.

 

Not gonna lie, my first thought was "The Pokemon character?"

But that is a great song with one of the great lines:

"Lucy you know the world must be flat, because when people leave town they never come back."

 

When I was in high school, we had an awful region that called for us to make 5 trips into Atlanta every season. I've always lived in Tennessee so when our buses would get back at 1AM, I had a half hour of driving to look forward to. The only benefit to that half hour drive home at 1 in the morning was that my country station played Small Town Saturday Night and other classics of that era during those wee hours.
