Seems like that will be more true this year than ever before. Good opportunity this month to make some statements to the CFB world.
Last year, we were primed and ready to announce ourselves after an epic start to the season. We fell on our faces. Who says we can't disrupt the college football world in a different way? November is when it gets chaotic, lets join in on the fun...
Imagine a 2-loss Tennessee defending Neyland against either the undefeated tw0-time national champion, or a 1-loss UGA and playing for the very last SEC East Division championship.
If we got to Dec. 3 and Tennessee was somehow 12-2 and SEC champs, who knows what the rest of the CFB world looks like? It's all in front of us, even if we don't hold our own destiny right now. Theres a lot of glory up for grabs. Which, again, is why I hate that we put so much emphasis on the Florida game this year as far as defining Joe Milton's legacy and who we were as a team. We are more than what we showed that night 5 weeks ago. A lot can happen in just 5 weeks. That would be my message for every soul in the locker room. We've been good to elite in every aspect of the game at some point this season. We haven't put it together. We got one month, 5 weeks. Lets finish in lockstep. Lets finish strong.
I’ll be pleased with 3-1 down the stretch, but I’d be downright ecstatic if we somehow pull off the unthinkable and force one of these opponents into a live ball penalty.
If given the choice of beating Georgia in two weeks or getting to the Final Four this year, which do you take?
