How am I naive? Because I don't stop talking about the subjects I enjoy just because people call me gay? I know I'm not gay, so it doesn't bother me when you all say it. The Divine Comedy is a phenomenal read, and I'm sure most people on here wouldn't even understand half of it. I took advantage of what was essentially a free class taught by a professor with an expertise on the subject. Not sure what's naive about that.

What is wrong with what is essentially a random, interesting fact thread? I appreciate the compliment, and I understand why people attack every single thread I post now, but I figured that'd stop for this, which seems like an overall solid idea for a thread.

You are misreading why I'm defensive. I'm not defensive about being called gay. I'm defensive about the same people hijacking every single thread I post, even when they are serious threads that I want to see go somewhere. Tē jokes are funny, and I laugh at a lot of them, but eventually they grow tiresome.
