Today I learned not to go to the Wegmans in Leesburg.

 

Today I learned that walking the stray dog living in the basement during my lunch hour on a rainy day is not a good idea.

 

Wait, what? Stray dog living in the basement?

 

Picked him up and took him home almost two weeks ago. He was about to be hit by a car in front of our church. He's a yellow Lab maybe a year and a half to three years old.

 

Sounds like he isn't a stray anymore, haha.

If you are not wanting to keep him, you might contact the breed-specific rescue. They could either place him with a foster or you could foster the dog while they look for a permanent home.

 

We are trying to locate the owner, but I'm not really hopeful. The guy had a choke chain that was too small for him when we got him. It didn't choke him, but it was obviously uncomfortable had been on him long enough to begin to discolor his coat.
