Hubbs says he is headed to A&M...some Memphis fans say Kansas

I just talked to a Memphis writer who is about at reliable as they come around here....he told me that nobody really knows what Barton is going to do, but he was told TN was making the hardest push of them all and he thought TN had the most to offer as far as playing time.

 

Kansas State, maybe. KU has exactly zero need for him.

You have any info that you could share as to where he will land? Other than the Baltimore Sun article from a few days ago, I haven't seen anything that makes me think he comes to Knoxville.

Of course, I would love to be wrong.

 

Tennessee is working this recruitment as hard as the rules will allow. I just find it hard to believe UT pulls this one off. Too many factors working against them. If they get it done, immediate playing time will have been their trump card.

 

Said writer mentioned K-State, but thought they were out of it.

He seemed to think TN, Maryland, & A&M....thought TN made the most sense and heard they were pushing hardest...


Memphis fans are the ones talking KU....I think I saw where he included them in some list today..

 

I agree. One thing I heard led me to believe that there are some affiliated with Memphis who are trying to help whomever but TN land him. Seemed like they are wanting to make sure that there is not a scenario where he leaves and helps TN finish higher than them next year.

 

The A&M talk makes me the most nervous. Barton has a solid connection to the staff there.

 

Does anyone know when a decision will be made?
