The only way it could work, is get rid of Mahoney, Azzani. Let Debord coach OL and bring in a competent OC/QB coach that Butch let do his thing. Hire Martin or some other good WR coach. Butch just needs to recruit and keep the roster loaded.

I'm not a big fan of Janceck, but I think we could survive with him if the talent stayed stockpiled.

But when it gets down to it, I have zero faith Butch would ever do any of this, and even if he did, I still don't know if he could ever win the SEC.

 

A leopard never changes its spots. Butch is who he is. That will never change.

I am encouraged to see him put the ax to one of his buddies in order to try and upgrade his staff. If the trend continues and we replace Z, Mahoney and Martinez with better coaches as well, it will be another step.

Expectations for me are the same for next year. Win the SEC Championship.

This. If Botch continues to make needed changes to improve the team and maintains the recruiting I may have to re-evaluate my disdain for him. He's still gotta pay off with wins that matter though.
