I've not eaten at Morton's, but I get a little teary-eyed thinking about steak at The Chop House.

With a little work and know how, you can make a better one at home.

Would be tough to beat their baked potato, though. They have that down pat.

I like the hash browns and the asparagus is very tender, not overcooked. One in our party went for the 48 oz porterhouse and ate the whole damn thing.

They just opened up Craftsmen Kitchen & Tap House on Cumberland. There are 48 beers on tap incorporating some of the beer with outstanding bar food.

If you're ever in Syracuse, try the much hyped but much worth it Dinosaur BBQ. I think they sold out and opened in NYC, as well.

Is the pizza place south of lafollate still open? In the 80s that place was da bomb! Might have been called Charlie's...

Charlie's is still going strong. Good place to eat, to hear me tell it anyway.

Yep. I've never had a bad meal there or the Columbia location. Great chain imo.

    Morton's underseasons their beef.

Maybe, but not sure why you'd eat there when you have the local places Charleston does.

I agree with this too pretty much. But if it's good, I don't really care.

In Knoxville, Copper Cellar's Ale Steak is really good. I think the best steak I have ever had is at Mon Ami Gabi in Las Vegas.

But over the last five years or so, I've really not eaten a lot of steak out. I think Dooz is right that you can make it pretty good at home. Good fish and seafood is harder to find, and do well, imo. So I like to eat seafood when I go out anymore.

Friend of my Dad's used to own (I dunno, maybe still does) a Del Frisco's. He trained his wait staff in Elizabethton.
