52 yr old buddy who has been same distance as me for years got PXG graphite irons and added 15-20 per iron. He was hybrid from 180 but now hitting 7 iron

Im in. Next week temps look awesome. Old Natchez Golf club here around me or i can come meet in cookeville or something so i can get back. Hermitage here ia nice too. Could play 18 on each course. Been playing pretty well with 76 and 79 last week but the course is playing really easy and rough way down Greens rolling 11 or 12 which is what i prefer. My game is all over the place and never been consistent, but i have a good time, enjoy beverages and you will see a horrible swing and shot followed by a cut driver off the deck to get up and down from 250 for par the next hole.
i also bet NYY likes to play from 7000 yards. i cant do that shit anymore. Single digit at 50 was my goal. 9 leg surgeries and at a 7 ghin now. Pretty happy about it even though usually playing 6400-6500 yards
I played Saturday. Wasn’t my best performance, especially on the front nine. As the the summer has gone on, my miss with the driver has become a nasty nasty slice and I struggle to straighten it out. I missed at least one 3 foot putt, too, but fortunately for my playing group, I didn’t shoot any of them in the back.
Get used clubs. Covid has made them relatively expensive, but you can still get a couple years old models in nice shape for 1/3 of retail.
