I think we should just do like the spring training game where the players made all the calls for the last inning, but for all the games, all season. I imagine it wouldn't be worse than what we get now and we wouldn't have to watch dipshits like this calling games.
It's the morons like this guy that causes resentment for umpires to seep down to the lowest levels of the game.
I didn't watch any of the WBC, but just watched the last at-bat between Ohtani and Trout. That last pitch was so nasty, I think I need to take a shower after watching it. Looked like a fast ball till the last 20 feet and then it dives outside the zone. What is a batter supposed to do?
Knew the rule but thought it was an error. Don’t think most umps would call it in a situation where no advantage was made.
