History as Patriotism

    No, I didn't. If you can't bother to understand my simple position, I'm not going to bother.

    And, the last line still says you don't understand the original idea expressed by the school board in the opening post. They're not using a bias, they are completely creating a new set of objectives and ignoring items they don't feel fits their agenda as opposed to discussing it from a certain perspective. If they really are putting your assertion into place, then the board would've required the courses to consider the conservative, patriotic, etc. perspective, not create a curriculum where that's the objective of instruction.

    Plus, as I noted with droski, do you know how the new AP course is set up, the one you claim is full of all these lefty biases, that they are discussing? My guess is no.

    Patriotism came from civil disobedience. Plus, if I have to teach people to be proud of their country, then that patriotism isn't worth a damn.
