Plenty of people would have served as perfectly good "outsiders" that wouldn't have just been part of the "old boys club."

We considered Ben, but he is never around. We also didn't think he would consent to the customary ask and answer portion of the interview.
Unfortunately, I'm not at liberty to discuss on this forum all those that were considered other than to say we are still reviewing the merits of a few more, as TennyD mentioned.
Some cited the slow-growth of the site as being indicative of our needing to "shake things up" and "hear and consider all options" for "attracting new members". It's like people say about Stern - half his listeners hate the man. Not sure I agree, but the slow-growth angle was difficult to combat.
