Weird that Ken Bone went on to have the best solo career

 

Norris is such a looser

 

Let me provide some cover for my boy Norris: I have never bought a concert ticket or bought music. I don't understand the level of affection people have for music. I'm not yucking anyone's yum. Go have fun. But it isn't for me and my consumption of it is almost entirely incidental.

 

For all intensive purposes, yes.

 

They weren’t my thing either and I wouldn’t really be interested in seeing them live, but you couldn’t really exist in 1996 and not know a song or 2

 

I am going to just say that I cannot listen to songs that would get the shit kicked out of me if I sang all of the lyrics in public because of one single word.

 

I don’t recall them dropping the N word much if at all but I could be mistaken.

This is more shocking to me than Norris not having a clue who they are.

 

I was thinking about Crossroads and don’t recall. Especially compared to todays music with “artists” who can’t go 10 seconds without saying it.

Tha Crossroads is about the only song they don’t say it every 10 seconds. Sheesh.

 

camping out at Cats music for the GNR red/blue cd launch and that next 48 hours is what movies are made from.
I don’t go to concerts as much since I began my recluse days. Used to go see live blues and jazz. Metallica x 3 was awesome. Some at the Ryman.
Music gets me thru 8 hour drives and as I’ve been on the road.

 

He may have only listened to the radio or Wal-Mart CD lyrics.

 

There are takes in the last two pages of this thread making me reevaluate lots of things.

 

thuggish bone song they don’t. “I tried” they don’t. I just checked 3. Looks like they skip it or say it 20 times

 

I refuse to believe that anybody who claims to have lived in Memphis has never heard Bone use that word in any of their lyrics.

 

just didn’t know all of them. Mainly recalled choruses.

I was in my mid 20s when they came out and had a bit going on besides memorizing words and making mix tapes.

 

Yeah, I can't imagine not having music/concerts. I'd give up pretty much every other form of media/entertainment before I'd give up music.
