You don't think the Taliban conducted crusades?

Pretty sure what is going on in Africa is a crusade. The American media will never call it that because Christianity would be called to answer for past sins if they used that term.

Pol Pot and other commies were part of an atheist crusade?

How many genocides, wars, etc. have been motivated or originated primarily by a group's desire to create an atheistic society?

This discussion gives me a great idea for what will be an epic thread. I'll start it tomorrow after I have some time to refine it.

I guess that Karl Marx taught a biblical view of the world?

While marx never gathered an army and started slaughtering people, I think it is clear that we are prone to fear and paranoia when it comes to those different than us.

Religion, nationalism, ethnicity, political methodology, etc all will give us reason to wage war on one another. Any time you can say "we are right and have Truth on our side" it can lead to disaster.

Him personally no, but what he taught influenced.

All of those things do not require religion.

What did his atheism have to do with any of his actions? I'll wait.

Big difference between that and slaughtering in the name of atheism.

When did anyone "influenced" by him declare war on people in the name of atheism?

No, he wasn't from the Bronze Age. Do you suppose everyone without a biblical view of the world is evil?

atheism no (don''t believe in religion), communism yes, can't have it in the name of religion if you don't believe in religion.

Functionally, Lenin and Stalin and all of eastern Europe. They wanted an atheistic state and considered Christians enemies to it.
