If you can find a more authoritarian rule than Hillary of the DNC, please cite it. Trump has assumed control of the GOP because he does what it’s base wants, he doesn’t give a shit how libs howl, and he wins. This ain’t rocket surgery.

To offer some defense of my family - they are far from all confederate flag wavers. Sadly a good number of my family didn’t come to the reunion this year (I wasn’t planning on it due to already having a trip planned home later this summer) because of a rift that has grown between the Trump folks and some other family members. Somehow some in my family don’t understand why it would be scary to my cousin’s Hispanic-African American to be confronted by trucks with rebel flags. And the broader family of one flag waver in particular is carrying Trump’s water so hard that one sent a Christmas card to the grandmother of those boys telling her that she and others in the family are embarrassed to be seen with her - citing her hate for the good man that is our president and her lack of patriotism. So there’s that.

I honestly don’t think these guys are full blown racists. But they are incredibly racially insensitive.

And before anyone goes and takes southern cultural offense at this - we have a few in my wife’s family in Ohio as well.

We live in a society of laws that is permissive, meaning, simply, that which is not prohibited is allowed.

Plenty were unhappy with Clinton's influence in the DNC, but she never had the ability to force other Dems in line and I certainly wouldn't be happy if she could. Or, Obama, for that matter.

kkk may have 7-8000 people nationwide. There are more people at one HS football game on a Friday night, than people affiliated with the kkk in the country. I've always thought talk of them being a factor is silly. Nobody cares about them. If people would ignore the 14 people protesting on their behalf, they would go away.
