No, I think I bunch of otherwise reasonable people voted for a racist because they convinced themselves he isn't racist.

Those same people may or may not have voted for Obama, but it is irrelevant, because the question wasn't Obama or Trump, it was Trump or someone else. And they chose the racist.

Well that’s a very convenient belief to have

Why can't I say it? It is the final outcome. The Trump ideal is a white, male, with a 16 foot red tie. If that is the ideal, then that is white supremacy.

In what way is it convenient?

Every republican president since Reagan has been called a racist by the left. Every single one

My opinion. Backed by logic, example and evidence.

So, what one would call "supported."

And that has what to do with whether Trump is racist, or not?

I think that’s not a sound argument for several reasons

-First, I don’t believe a huge portion of America (in percentage) is so racist that they wouldn’t vote for a person of color.
-A much larger fraction of our country doesn’t typically vote
-Elections are decided by swinging a small non-tribal group to vote a particular way or tapping into an even fairly small percentage of the group that doesn’t typically vote
-Finally, the foreigners are bad trope is much easier to catch on today than the black people are bad version. And it isn’t a color thing to me. These guys would absolutely love - LOVE - a Latino man saying these things.

I refuse to accept that thought - presenter by either side.

Ignoring stats and statistics because you want something to be true

It certainly makes the claims of racism by the left a lot less credible

No it is white male with 16 ft red tie supremacy. Each piece of him is clearly not enough to reign supreme because all others failed. Thus there is no white supremacy. No male supremacy. No 16 ft red tie supremacy. If there can be only one then it is all or nothing.

What stats and statistics am I ignoring? Other than ignoring the redundancy?

No, it gives otherwise reasonable people an excuse to whitewash what is clear evidence, beyond that, it is irrelevant.

Now we’re getting to the dems with Biden.

    And he isn’t the first.

Truth is we’re all racist so I guess that makes sense. But I figure if we are all racist then we’ll baseline it there and choose to highlight the real pricks.

Really. Why don't you tell me how he feels about Ivanka?

    But how about the previous:

If you use racism as a tool... you're a racist. Agree or disagree?

If he has 100s of close Latino friends and has employed 1000s, is he a racist?
Many black people believe he has tried to do more and done more for their communities than every president in their lifetime.
    Crazy actions for a racist.

What’s your evidence that trump got people who normally didn’t vote to vote? As you said, the people who vote in this county are the ones who vote all the time. The far more likely situation is he got people who are already voting to vote for him

  19. droski

    droski Traffic Criminal

The fact that a bunch of supposed racists voted for a black man for president

Every time people claim there is clear evidence.
