The Final Bow

When working fast food I worked with a girl that claimed she was on his show before. Never went to try to find the episode, but she was the type of guest that you would see on the show. Said it was all fake, and she and her husband used it as a free vacation. But I don't really know.

 

I can’t be 100% sure but I feel reasonably certain I never watched a Jerry Springer show from start to finish

 

Yeah and they weren’t putting on to be on the show either.

Over time I’ve just assumed the law of averages would take over and I’d know someone on one of these shows and never have. Seems like it would be more common if people knowing someone.

 

We've all interacted with Indy on message boards for years, so I feel like that counts.

 

A girl from my hometown was on Jenny Jones but no one I know on Jerry.

 

Carolyn Bryant, the woman who claimed Emmett Till whistled at her.

 

Never brought to justice. I hope that changes in the afterlife.

 

I came in and picked a fight with the old lady as soon as I walked in the door tonight. Figured it was the least I could do to honor Jerry.

 

Me too. May Emmitt be truly looking down somewhere on her now. Huge moment in American history. That heinous lynching started a chain reaction of events that helped change American society for the better. Those photos went a long way to waking up folks to the reality that there was a serious problem on hand within our country that needed correcting immediately

Not sure if I've ever heard him call a game, but it's always sucks losing these guys. Like a part of our youth dies each time.

 

I bet I listened to him call parts of 1,500 games easily.

Him calling a game the Cardinals were getting blown out rivaled Harry Carry during a blow out.

 

For a lot of years the Cardinals had him and Jack Buck in the same booth. Don’t make ‘em like that any more.
