This is going to piss a lot of people off, but apparently Gruden's name is starting to surface for this job opening.

 

Of course it is. He's the best available coach out there.

 

Other than my hatred of Texsucks, doesn't bother me. If he takes a college job, it's just one more piece of evidence against the current power structure on The Hill.

 

haden claimed he talked to him and gruden told him he wanted an nfl job.

 

I would think if Gruden wants a pro job, he will have a couple to choose from this year.

But Texas is a hell of an opportunity too, if he doesn't like his NFL options.

 

he's more likely to get complete control (like he wanted at ut) in the nfl than he is college.

 

Which tells me Gruden said no such thing. Haden is a pathological liar.

 

What will his options be Redskins? Jets? Titans? Falcons? Maybe------- the Buccaneers?

 

Those all sound awful.

 

Titans aren't that far off. But munchak isn't going anywhere.

Ya, my point is that the NFL options aren't glowing this year.

As far as Gruden goes for coaching in 2014 I think the Titans would be the only team willing to give him complete control. With a new owner and CEO the man wants to make a huge splash and put is stamp on the franchise. Strong talk from Nashville about completely cleaning house at end of season. Would be kinda torn if it does happen but atleast Gruden would be in Tennessee one way or another.

 

I'm not sure I would be able to stomach what would happen if he wound up with the oilers.
