I already covered this. It has nothing to do with a "sports personality." It's the same in just about every profession. An officer can't sleep with an enlisted. A teacher can't sleep with a student. An office manager can't go around boinking subordinate secretaries. It's a conflict.

 

It's not really about officer / enlisted. It's about direct chain of command.

 

It's about influence and we are still talking about young easily influenced people and him in a father figure role even if he's similar in age. This is not a guy screwing his 35 year old secretary.

 

Yeah, it was as poorly written as it was flawed logic.

 

And ESPN lead online yesterday had the headline that the story was destroying two fanbases. Horsecrap. UT fans don't care.

Since when are Lady Vol fans UT fans? The former fans are surely devastated, the latter, not so much. Or, at all.

 

Not sure. I saw an awful lot of fan reaction of the "why do bad things happen to tenn?" I thought it was strange anyone would care in that manner.

 

Unless they meant La Tech fans and LV fans as the two fans bases.

 

It is the same people that are Eli Manning fans. My mom is one. I don't get it. Tyler Summit has nothing at all to do with Tennessee, other than he shares the genes of the Matriarch of Women's Basketball.

 

Meh, had this come out the last week of August, almost no one outside of the strictly LV fans would have done much more than shrug their shoulders, say "That sucks," and then move on.
