Most favorites have been mentioned, but I'll add Sherlock (BBC). Banshee isn't bad, and I thought Hannibal was good before the ax came down.

Oh, almost forgot - Anderson Cooper 360[SUP]o[/SUP].

None, not at least in the content that it deals with.

I gave up on Deadwood a few seasons in. It really started to drag.

I'll put it.to you this way, while on vacation my family befriended another family, the husband was a detective in Cleveland, I asked him about The Wire and how it held up against reality.

His response was "that's as close as you'll ever get to the real thing, nothing touches it"

The Alaska ones and survival ones are too annoying if you've been to those places. Just so much drama injected into it.

South Park and The Wire. I'm not much of a TV guy.

I like Gold Rush for Parker and Tony Beets - I detest Todd and Jack Hoffman. They are to gold mining what Butch is to in-game coaching.

Bearing Sea I like for the personalities, more than the actual gold retrieval. It's basically an entire town where everyone lives one clean out to the next, and poorly. They gold mine because they all want to strike it rich, and zero of them could hold down a job, even if they wanted to, which fortunately, none do.

Tenny, your mention of Good Eats has done a lot to redeem yourself in my eyes after all the anti star trekwars talk.

In terms of character depth, I'd called it unmatched.

It's not gonna be what you're looking for if you're in the mood for just pure entertainment. If you are in that mood, I'd say Breaking Bad is your best bet. What The Wire does is it makes you work a bit more as a viewer, but it also allows you to form what you'll perceive to be a bond with the characters Also, The Wire is just a real American tale. I mean, it's fiction, but that's exactly what's going on right this very second in Baltimore and many other cities. I guaran-damn-tee it. In sum, it's great and worth it. Do it.

I've actually decided I'm not gonna watch Sopranos. An executive decision was made.

If don't watch My 600 pound life, you don't know what you're missing. I wouldn't call it one of the best shows ever, but it's worth a short Sunday marathon.
