I find that horrifying. When I hear these stories, I am like "maaaan, 2007 all over again". But I am an economic noob, and don't know shit.

And holy hell, how much are houses in LA? Good god.

 

he paid $100k over what my house just got appraised at which i think is a reasonable number and i have a bigger lot and more bedrooms. the guy who sold it to the flipper did sell it way too cheap, but it's pretty crazy. people are just desperate. everyone i know house hunting is going way over the offering price to get houses. seems unsustainable. on the other hand, in la there just isn't that much land available unless you want to live in the middle of nowhere.

 

And what happens when Lake Mead dries up and you guys run out of water?

We view what we'd like out of those changes differently but changes have to be made because the cronyism can't continue because it's hitting some big compounding numbers to just keep it alive.

 

Welp, right at 12 hours my son has been in NICU. Went from being on a ventilator to completely breathing on his own. Heart rate and BP are perfect after being non-existant at birth. Swallowing on his own. Responding to all stimuli.

Still have to wait until Friday afternoon to do MRI/EEG to make sure everything is good with his brain other than being my offspring, but the neurologist is optimistic that they will be good.

Facetimed my wife a bit ago and she was up walking laps around her hospital room after having a c-section at midnight.

I've been sitting in this recliner in the NICU room for most of the day, but I have been awake for 36 hours so I have an excuse to be lazy.

 

I know it will be hard, but try to get some sleep, brother. We are all thinking of you and your family.

 

Understand. It's hard work being the dad in these situations.
