It's been reported that White House staffers have witnessed Trump raging over Omarosa, & he's said that he wants her arrested. True? Not a clue, but completely believable.

As to your link, Stupid Watergate continues unabated. The Dumbass-in-Chief told the Wall Street Journal that the move against Brennan was because of the Russia investigation.

The irony is that on Aug 16, 1971 John Dean admitted to a Nixon enemies list, much like the one announced yesterday, in a Congressional hearing. That enemies list & the actions taken against those on it lead to one of the Articles of Impeachment, abuse of power.

Just a little history lesson for anyone interested.

    You're the Italy expert.

Just playing on the Italy connection however incorrect it was.

read the biography by Alan Friedman. It's an interesting read. He's a colorful dude. Lots of good stories about interactions with other heads of state

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see if I can fit it in behind Unhinged.

Well, I guess I have just been exposed to a bunch of sexual deviants my entire life because I have seen and heard it since forever. 95% of the time, there isn't even a woman present and it is just guys being guys. Looking for a gag.

People seem to have short memories. Dems won a ton of elections for about 10 years. It's cyclical. Nominating Hillary was stupid, but Republicans stepped all over their own [Richards] for the 2 elections preceding. McCain had a chance right up until he bowed to the base and chose Palin

Romney stepped all over his own [penis] consistently for about 2 months leading to the election or he probably would have won.

Hell I could make the argument that Republicans did it again in 2016, but the Dems just did it worse.

McCain had a chance until the financial crisis in September. That, coupled with his erratic behavior in the 3-4 days that followed the meltdown, cost him any chance he had if winning. He was running ahead of Obama in the Gallup daily tracking poll a month after he selected Palin as his running mate. That decision had little to no impact on his loss.

Agreed it is cyclical. My concern is that the democratic party seems fractured at the moment; nobody stepping up to take the lead at the moment (still plenty of time for this), does it support policies that are democratic socialist or just left of center as has been the past, pro law and order or anti-ICE, etc.

Trump seems to have them off balance and not quit knowing how to answer.

A McCain/ Lieberman ticket would have been interesting. Obama was a Force of Nature though.

And there’s really not a lot more Romney could have done. He beat Obama by 5-6 points among independents. The 47% comments certainly didn’t help, but his campaign hit all their numbers in the swing states. The Obama campaign just did a remarkable job getting out their vote.

The 47% and "binders full of women" and making a fool out of himself in a debate. He could have run a lot better than he did. The fact that he couldn't get Republicans, who absolutely despised Obama, out to vote in bigger numbers was baffling. The point is, he was a terrible candidate too. It's not just a Democrat problem, they just lost to the second worst candidate in my lifetime by running the worst candidate and then ignoring the damned "blue wall"

To clarify, Trump is only second worst because he won.

Part of that is fair, but to say she had little to no impact is incorrect.

He named her on Aug 29, a month later was Sept 29 and in the middle of the financial crisis you say killed him. She might not have been the only reason, but she was an albatross that kept him from making up any kind of ground. The longer she was around, the more unfavorable public opinion became of her. He might have lost regardless, but was definitely a part of it

I would just like to say that I find both Trump and Omarosa to be, ummm, less than ideal people.

That's why the mutual destruction is so delicious. It's as if Alabama and Ohio State were playing in the national championship game when all of a sudden a giant sinkhole appears on the field swallowing up both teams & their coaches.

Today, Omarosa was asked how she was able to get under Trump's skin so much, she just smiled and said, "It's just the art of the deal." Trump's padawan is pulling a Darth Sidious on her own Darth Plagueis. Scrumptious.

Admiral McRaven’s OpEd criticizing pulling Brennan’s clearance was gold.

I found this section to be poetic:

“The criticism will continue until you become the leader we prayed you would be”
