And I'm talking about making the parting of the Red Sea look like the tiniest ripple caused by the slightest breeze in a plastic kiddie pool level of miracle to even start to get Trump there.

I don't think Trump realizes that the infrastructure in the capital can't support a column of tanks and stuff rolling down most streets, and that the security and traffic concerns would be very, very expensive. Also, what does he mean by being able to buy "more fighter jets?" Was he going to take away from the procurement of upgraded F-15's and F-18's? Because those are the only modern fighters that would be cheap enough to buy more than 1 of under 90 million. An F-35 or F-22 far exceeds that price.

 

Not once he starts making deals!

 

How much does France's parade cost? A quick Google search turned up nothing.

I've actually watched one of these.

in 1999, I went to Paris, happened to get there on Bastille Day, and watched the parade. Was incredibly boring other than making the obligatory jokes about the French military to the people I was there with.

 

How much does a military flyover at a sporting event cost?

Don't get me wrong, I think they're awesome, but the event should pay for them (if they don't already) instead of John Q. Taxpayer.

So Trump has cancelled the military parade because the Democrats that run DC told everybody how much it cost and he said "nah gonna buy some fighter planes" and instead of going to the military parade scheduled for Veterans Day here he is going to go to the French Military parade. Also on Veterans Day.
