That's awesome. I'm envious. I can't even imagine doing that.

    Tell her congrats, please.

I'm with you. Running, even when I could, has always been one of my least favorite things.

I'm no expert by any means, but I know everyone needs a way to cope/deal with their stress. Hope you find something that works for you.

I'm of the belief that stress is EXTREMELY unhealthy. In fact, I'm convinced that it's one of the most dangerous things to one's overall well-being.

Hope things get better in that department.

She started training for the full one yesterday.

Personally, I think she's insane, but I love her anyway.

I've found the best way to deal with stress is sex. My wife disagrees, which is all the proof I need that she's trying to kill me.

My wife is running the Disney marathon in January. Actually, she's doing their "Dopey Challenge", Day 1: 5K Day 2: 10K, Day 3: Half, Day 4: Full.

I did set a personal best swimming yesterday. I did 152 lengths (25m pool) without stopping except for maybe a minute to put on fins for the back end to work on leg strength.

Not that I checked or anything... but that was around 12,163.19 feet (2.304 miles) in 2-ish hours. According to the calorie swim calculator, I burned almost 1,800 calories in that effort. My intake yesterday was only around 1,200.

I'm an idiot for doing it, too. I'm still exhausted & sore. I admit that I have developed a complex. I try to see if I CAN do things because I'm constantly reminded of what I CAN'T do. Hope that made sense. It's a little hard to explain the feeling exactly.

I was more sensible today. Did my usual 102 lengths (1.55 miles). My triceps were SCREAMING the first 25 lengths or so. They're still not very happy with me at the moment.

    I understand.

Myself, I don't think running over 26 miles is remotely something I view as fun or enjoyable.

I do get the desire to overcome though.

Disney & marathon... Alone, each are among the most agonizing words I know. Combine them? Just go ahead & put me out of my misery please. You'd be doing me a favor.

Ran my first half in more than 2 years this morning. Was my slowest but don't care. It was great to be out there again after dealing with hip issues.

Blood sugar was just a tad high so doc has ordered me to a 100g carb count a day.

I did not realize how carb focused my ENTIRE diet was until Tuesday.

I put on 15 pounds over a roughly 3 week period of basically eating whatever the [uck fay] I wanted. Got back to dieting and already dropped 11 pounds. The daily brussels sprouts and asparagus have me farting up a storm, though.

In 7 days just by limiting carbs to 100g a day, I've lost 3 pounds.

Lost 2 lbs since our fridge went down 2 days ago. Could be a new diet idea
