Never had CC. Terrapin has a spot in MBS so I had a few of their beers while at Atlanta United matches.
Talking about craft beers that went downhill after their circulation rose... Lazy Magnolia's Southern Pecan beer was phenomenal when it was a small regional distribution (mostly Miss/Alabama) but when it got up to Tennessee, Georgia and Florida it was bad.
Figures Athens would be good at beer... nothing else going on there worth a shit 8 months out of the year so you gotta fill the time somehow..
Preach. We got some over Thanksgiving when we were in Baton Rouge and I drank all of 2 of them in 4 nights.
The original Blue Moon was fantastic. The minute they got “discovered” and started putting out that Belgian white barf in a bottle their shit is undrinkable.
Stated properly it would be ‘Spoken like an East Tennessean living without cultural diversity’ It was never said individuals residing there were uncultured. Though now I’m rethinking this given Card’s hatred of pale ales and IPAs.
An old German dude (old as in in rumored to have been ex-SS guy but very cool to talk to & drink with) wised me up to dark chocolates and beer. Not actually IN the beer, but eaten while drinking beer....
How the hell can you like Hopsecutioner but not like IPAs? That is pretty damn high on the IBUs. If you can stomach that, you like IPAs, just don't know it.
I love porters and stouts but they tear my guts up. So I have just a few every year. Some great beers though.
Not many, 2-3. I don't keep trying beers I don't like. And the others were maybe 6 years ago so I have no idea.
